말하고 싶어.

mal-ha-go shi-pheo · I want to speak.

You've watched 47 episodes this month. You still need subtitles.

The problem isn't that you don't know Korean. It's that you've never had anyone to talk to about the things you actually care about. So we built a friend who calls you, listens, remembers, and replies in Korean you can (mostly) follow.

How it works

Three steps. No homework.

  1. Tell us when to call.

Pick a schedule, or let them surprise you.

  2. Talk about anything.

No lesson plan. Just a conversation.

  3. Get your notes.

A summary with new words, fixes, and phrases to try.

Thirty seconds. Anything you bring.

  • Your bias’s latest era
  • Last night’s episode
  • Your favorite lyric, and what it means
  • The Seoul trip you’re saving for
  • 떡볶이 vs. 김밥

A friend who remembers what matters.

They'll forget what you had for breakfast three weeks ago. They won't forget that you're a Carat, or that you're two weeks into Queen of Tears, or that Mondays are hard for you.

Why not just…

We thought about it, too.

...use Duolingo?

Duolingo teaches you to order coffee. Not to talk about the comeback.

...talk to ChatGPT?

ChatGPT doesn’t call. Doesn’t remember. Isn’t fluent in fandom.

...hire a human tutor?

Tutors cost $40 an hour, and you’d never bring up K-pop anyway.

Three ways in.

The things people usually ask.

  • What level of Korean do I need?

You should read Hangul and have basic grammar. Think TOPIK 2 or a year of classes. If “자기소개 해 주세요” doesn’t terrify you, you’re in the right place.

  • Is it really voice? Or is there typing?

Voice. Text is only there as a transcript so you can scroll back.

  • When does it launch?

We’re pre-ordering now while the product is in final testing. Early pre-orders get first access; we’ll email you with a date.

  • What if I change my mind?

Full refund before launch, no questions asked. Once activated, cancel anytime for monthly and yearly plans.
